{"id":21033,"date":"2022-02-10T11:29:38","date_gmt":"2022-02-10T11:29:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.omex.com\/?p=21033"},"modified":"2024-07-23T13:15:06","modified_gmt":"2024-07-23T13:15:06","slug":"omex-horticulture-appoints-technical-sales-manager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.omex.com\/uk\/omex-horticulture-appoints-technical-sales-manager\/","title":{"rendered":"OMEX Horticulture Appoints Technical Sales Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omex.com\/uk-agriculture-products\/horticulture\">OMEX Horticulture<\/a> has appointed Joe Barfoot as technical sales manager with nutritional responsibilities for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omex.com\/crops\/protected-edibles\">protected edibles<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omex.com\/crops\/protected-ornamentals\">ornamentals<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omex.com\/crops\/outdoor-flowers\">flowers<\/a>, vines, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omex.com\/crops\/soft-fruit\">soft<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.omex.com\/crops\/top-fruit\">top fruit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Joe joins OMEX from Hortifeeds where he was area sales manager for four years and prior to that he was responsible for agricultural foliar sales at Downham Market-based Soil Fertility Services.<\/p>\n<p>With an agricultural BSc degree earned from Reading University and <a href=\"https:\/\/basis-reg.co.uk\/scheme-facts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FACTS<\/a> qualified, plus nine years experience in agricultural sales and distribution and four years in horticulture, Joe brings a wealth of theoretical and practical knowledge to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omex.com\/uk-agriculture-products\/horticulture\">OMEX Horticulture\u2019s<\/a> expanding team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHorticulture is a growing industry in which there are an enormous number of opportunities,\u201d explains Joe. \u201cOMEX Horticulture is positioned at a much higher technical level than I have experienced before. The technical investment includes having Horticulture FACTS and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basis-reg.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BASIS<\/a> qualification as standard.
