In this latest technical update Soft Fruit Agronomist, Dr Neil Holmes, highlights supporting vegetative blueberry growth with Bio 20.
Vegetative Blueberry Growth
For those early blueberry varieties which have finished picking or are about to finish such as Duke or Driscoll's Sweet Jane, consider foliar feeding with Nitrate free Bio 20.
Nitrate free Bio 20 contains a wide range of micro and macro nutrients to support tip extension and fresh spawn growth. The nitrogen component is free of nitrates and is composed of ammoniacal and ureic nitrogen. New tip growth is often pale in coloration and so the iron and manganese within Nitrate free Bio 20 can improve the colour and photosynthetic activity of this tissue. This formulation also contains 28% Kelpak, providing polyamines and phlorotannins to support membrane stability during moisture stress periods and to catalyse reactions in the bush.

Applying Bio 20 during the vegetative stage
Apply Bio 20 at 2-3L/ha depending on the size of the bush and repeat every 14 days during the vegetative part of the growth cycle.
