Our free breakfast meetings are back for 2018. Join OMEX for breakfast with business and agronomy advice from leading industry experts. This year we have a number of speakers at our events:
Rufus Pilgrim lives in Lincolnshire, and started working in the potato industry in 1993. He is the Commercial Director, fresh potato division of R S Cockerill in York, a long established, privately owned company that has grown considerably in recent years. The business is involved in managing all aspects of the potato supply chain including innovation, seed souring, storage, added value processes and logistics.
Neil Fuller is an independent agronomist specialising in soil and crop nutrition. Since starting his own company in 1983, he has been involved in food and farming projects in over twenty countries and is currently developing a range of remote sensing and application techniques to provide technical support for biological and nutritional agronomy programs.
Guy Poskitt is the MD of MH Poskitt Ltd which is a family owned arable farming business based in the East Riding of Yorkshire specialising in the growing of root vegetables for leading supermarkets. Guy was Farmer's Weekly Farmer of the Year 2012 and was recently the NFU Horticulture & Potatoes board chairman.
David Booty coordinatesthe extensive OMEX research and product development programme including trials. His particular focus is on achieving yield and quality targets by improving nutrient use efficiency, promoting early crop development and plant health.
Scott Baker is a FACTS and BASIS qualified Crop Nutrition Agronomist, specialising in the foliar application of crop nutrients. He is a keen exponent of Integrated Crop Management and the potential benefits of nutrients in building crop health and reducing the requirement for conventional crop protection products.
