Mark Joins Our Team
Mark Paton joins us as District Sales Manager for Scotland. He’ll be working with new and existing customers to plan the most effective liquid fertiliser and crop nutrition programmes.
Mark brings considerable agricultural experience with over 30 years in the industry. A degree from Edinburgh University in Agriculture and Forestry followed by a chartered surveyor qualification, lead to employment with Smiths Gore. A switch to grain trading gave Mark 20 years of experience honing his sales skills in Scotland.

I’m delighted to introduce myself as the new District Sales Manager for OMEX, where I’ll be working closely with farmers and growers across Scotland to bring tailored liquid fertiliser solutions to your fields. Having spent over 30 years in agriculture, I understand the unique challenges that Scottish farmers face, and I’m excited to offer the products and advice that can help you maximise your yields and maintain sustainable practices.
Scotland’s agricultural landscape is as varied as it is beautiful, our farms produce some of the world’s finest crops and livestock. But I also know that farming today is more complex than ever. With climate change, fluctuating market conditions, and increasing environmental regulations, we’re all facing significant challenges. My role at OMEX is to ensure you have the right tools to thrive in this evolving landscape.
Our liquid fertiliser solutions are designed to help you meet these challenges, head-on. By delivering nutrients directly where the crop needs them in a highly efficient form, OMEX’s range of products not only boost crop productivity but also improve crop health. Since taking on this role, I’ve been travelling across the country, meeting with farmers, agronomists, and industry professionals to further understand the diverse needs of Scotland’s agricultural regions. What I’ve heard is clear: farmers are looking for solutions that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure long-term soil health. I believe our liquid fertiliser range is ideally suited to meet these demands.
In my new position, my goal is simple: to work in partnership with you to find the best solutions for your land. Whether you’re growing crops in the east or managing livestock in the west, I’m here to provide advice, support, and a range of products designed to help you get the best out of your crops, while preserving the land for future generations.
