A paper presented to the International Fertiliser Society in December revealed that crop rooting is often less than the critical density required for effective nutrient and water uptake, meaning that UK crops are failing to reach full potential.
The 2016 OMEX breakfast meetings explore ways of increasing crop rooting and nutrient uptake and examines methods of increasing crop response to fertiliser application.
Guest speaker Neil Fuller will describe the latest tools available for precision management of crops and explore the effect of phosphorus and calcium on plant health and rooting.
